ON THE OCCASION OF THE PROGRAMMER'S DAY, RENOME SMART HELD A RUN_TO_VICTORY EVENT - A CHARITY RACE IN SUPPORT OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE
Partners and supporters in the event were Rivne Running Club and Rivne IT CLUSTER, who not only contributed to the organization, but also took part in the race themselves.
By organizing this race, we wanted to promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as unite both professional runners and amateurs, and most importantly those who like to sit at the computer all day.
The main goal was to raise funds for the purchase of electric generators, heaters and other winter needs of the A 4790 military unit, so we tried to call as many people as possible to help.
Registration started on September 9 online and offline. A charity donation of 250 hryvnia or any other arbitrary amount was announced for participation. Representatives of IT companies in Rivne actively joined the race: KTC, ZAGRAVA GAMES, SoftServe, IT CLUSTER, as well as professional runners from Rivne Running Club and Triathlon Academy Rivne and other participants.
A total of 135 participants took part in the race. 63 of them are employees of RENOME group of companies. 17 participants joined online.
Service engineers from Rivne, Novovolynsk and Kyiv ran too. Monitoring Department engineers, R&D programmers, sales department account managers, financiers and accountants also joined in. Participants ran in the mountains, at stadiums, along the usual routes in local areas, and even in vegetable gardens and offices. After all, everyone was united by a common goal – to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Online participants: Dmytro Kosariev, Yevhen Zhuk, Kostiantyn Hladkevych and Alina Boichuk covered their distance in the Carpathians
Online participant: Andriy Kostenko, Kyiv
Offline race
On Saturday, not only registered participants gathered on Hill of Glory, but also their children, friends and even dogs. Whole families came to take part in the race, as sunny weather, vibrant music and cool atmosphere contributed to the event.
The very same preparation for the race began with an energetic warm-up from the coach Taras Nahornyi, who charged and warmed up everyone.
Besides, we do not forget about the online participants who covered their distances with a tracker in their hands from the very morning. After the warm-up with Taras, the countdown of participants began.
3... 2... 1... GO. As one, they all rushed forward. Men, women, mothers with children and strollers, participants with their four-legged pets, all ran #пробіг_ДО_ПЕРЕМОГИ seeing no obstacles.
The distance was not difficult. The participants ran only 2.1 kilometers, but with all their hearts and thirst for victory.
